Specific Terms and Conditions for Easi Services

1. Definition and Interpretation

1.1. The General Terms shall apply and govern each and/or all of the Services in addition to any Specific Terms, and in the event, there is a conflict or inconsistency between the Terms, the documents shall be construed in the following order of precedence:

(i) any other terms and conditions otherwise agreed between us in writing
(ii) the applicable Specific Terms; and
(iii) the General Terms.

In the event such construction fails to resolve the conflict or inconsistency, such conflict or inconsistency shall be resolved in a manner most favourable to the Service Provider, to the extent permissible under the applicable law.

1.2. These EASI Specific Terms shall apply and govern all products and Services in relation to the EASI Prepaid Plans depicted on the Platform under the umbrella of the General Terms.

1.3. In this EASI Specific Terms of Service, words and expressions shall have the same meaning as outlined in Clause 1.1 of the ‘General Terms’ and Conditions of Services.

1.4. Unless otherwise stated, any reference made in this EASI Specific Terms to any Clauses shall be interpreted as to Clauses within these terms.

1.5. Unless otherwise stated to be for International or Roaming use, the provision of Services for call minutes, SMS and data in this Specific Terms shall be interpreted for local use only.

2.1. Upon purchasing an EASI prepaid Sim Card and to use the Easi Services, Subscribers must register their EASI prepaid Sim Cards with DST.

2.2. Subscribers receiving notifications to re-register their EASI SIM Card are required to complete the re-registration as set out in Clause 2.3 below.

2.3. Subscribers are required to complete the registration or re-registration process through “Know Your Customer” (KYC). This can be done in person at any DST branch by providing the necessary information and documents at the time of purchase, or online via Electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) on MyDST, or through DST’s authorised vendors or dealers nationwide. Subscribers are responsible for finding an available and secure WiFi network to access MyDST and complete the registration or re-registration.

2.4. Activation of the EASI Service begins upon the first call, first SMS or first data use made by the Subscriber charged at the rates specified in Clause 3, at which point, the validity of the SIM Card will commence towards expiration.

2.5. DST reserves the right to reject EASI SIM card purchases or registrations if Know Your Customer (KYC) or electronic Know Your Customer (eKYC) documentation is incomplete. In cases where an EASI SIM card is registered or re-registered with incomplete documentation, DST may request the necessary documents. Failure to provide such documentation may result in immediate suspension or termination of service until all required supporting documents for registration or re-registration are provided. DST’s decision in these matters is final.

2.6. Requirements for individuals:

(a) Twelve (12) years old and above;
(b) Subscribers must register the pre-paid SIM card by submitting the following to DST at any of DST’s designated branches or by completing the eKYC online via MyDST:

(i) Original and valid national identification card (Yellow/Red/Green)
(ii) Original and valid passport with valid work permit (in the case of foreigners).
(iii) Other information or document(s) as DST may require to complete the registration.

2.7. Requirements for corporate or enterprise includes but is not limited to the followings:

(a) Sole Proprietors and Partnerships

(i) Section 16/17

(b) Private Limited Companies

(i) Certificate of Incorporation
(ii) Form X
(iii) Directors valid IC

2.8. Subscribers who fail to register or re-register their EASI SIM Card as per Clause 2 will face immediate suspension without prior notice or liability. No refunds will be issued for unutilised credits, purchased “MBB” add-ons, or validity extensions on any suspended EASI SIM card.

2.9. Subscribers who have completed the respective KYC or eKYC and have submitted all required documents, acknowledge and agree that they are the registered owner and user of the EASI Sim Card.

2.10. DST’s records of the Subscriber usage of any EASI prepaid SIM card shall be conclusive evidence of the accuracy and completeness of the Subscriber’s usage and shall be binding on the Subscriber. The Subscriber agrees that DST’s decision on all matters pertaining to the Subscriber’s usage of any EASI services is final, and no further correspondence will be entertained in respect of the same.

3.1. Information on the available EASI rates and charges are as stipulated on the Platform, https://dst.com.bn/easi-rate-charges/.

3.2. Information on the available EASI data add-ons are as stipulated on the Platform, https://dst.com.bn/easi-add-ons/.

3.3. The Subscriber’s available credit will be charged and deducted based on the rates and charges stipulated on the Platform for their respective calls, SMS, and data usage services.

3.4. Subscribers can continue to use Data Add-On Bundles even if their prepaid credit has been fully utilised.

3.5. DST’s Fair Usage policy applies to the EASI services.

4.1. EASI prepaid top-ups can be purchased to add credit to the EASI SIM Card. The available top-up options are listed on the Platform.

4.2. The Subscriber may purchase an EASI Recharge Card via the Service Providers’ designated Platform, authorised vendors, sales agents or dealers to enable the renewal, extension of the Validity Period of the SIM card and to ensure there is sufficient balance to offset any charges or fees in relation to the use of the Service, failing which, the EASI Sim card may be suspended or terminated.

5.1. Subscribers travelling outside of Brunei and wish to use their line to make and receive calls, send and receive SMS and connect to the internet while travelling outside of Brunei may purchase the applicable data roaming add-ons by dialing *110# for EASI or via MyDST app.

5.2. The available mobile network in the listed countries or destinations are as specified on the Platform, https://dst.com.bn/easi-roaming/.

5.3. Subscribers can currently view data roaming add-ons for specific countries only. DST offers a variety of data roaming add-ons across different countries and operators.

5.4. Subscribers should ensure that they are connected to the correct roaming country and operator before utilising their data.

5.5. While abroad, Subscribers will be charged for voice, SMS, and data usage at the roaming rates displayed on the Platform.

5.6. Details of the roaming service are available on https://dst.com.bn/easi-roaming/.

6.1. The Subscriber agrees that:

6.1.1. The Subscriber shall register or re-register their EASI SIM Card as mandated by the relevant authorities.
6.1.2. The Subscriber is solely responsible for the use, maintenance, safekeeping and security of their EASI SIM card, including the management of credit top-ups, and shall comply fully with these Terms and Conditions. The Subscriber agrees to be solely liable for any loss, damage, or unauthorised use resulting from their failure to do so.
6.1.3. The Subscriber shall comply with DST’s Fair Usage Policy.
6.1.4. The Subscriber shall manage the validity of their EASI SIM card by recharging or topping up their EASI prepaid lin, as required. The Subscriber acknowledges that failure to maintain sufficient credit or renew the validity of their EASI SIM Card may result in the automatic deactivation of the EASI SIM card. The Service Provider shall not be held liable for any loss, inconvenience, or consequences arising from such deactivation.
6.1.5. Upon expiry of the EASI SIM card’s validity, the Service Provider reserves the right, where applicable, to deregister the Subscriber, repossess the associated EASI number, resell or reassign the number without further notice or liability.
6.1.6. All Data Add-On purchases, as stipulated in Clause 5.1, will be charged by automatic deduction from the Subscriber’s available credit balance. Such purchases are final, non-cancellable, and non-refundable, including in cases of accidental or mistaken purchases.
6.1.7. The Subscriber agrees to comply with mandatory regulatory requirements for the registration of all prepaid numbers at the point of purchase. Failure to register their EASI SIM card will result in suspension and deactivation of the number until registration is properly completed.
6.1.8. The Subscriber who fails to complete re-registration of their EASI SIM card within the prescribed timeframe will result in immediate suspension or termination of the affected EASI SIM card(s). Re-registration may be completed online, electronically or by physical verification at any of DST’s branches.
6.1.9. The Subscriber shall submit all documents and information required for initial registration or re-registration as specified by the Service Provider and in accordance with applicable regulations.
6.1.10. Termination resulting from failure to re-register is permanent. Any attempt to reactivate a terminated SIM card after the applicable due date will be treated as a new registration and will incur the applicable fees or charges prescribed by the Service Provider.
6.1.11. Individuals below the age of twelve (12) years are not required to re-register their own EASI SIM card. In such cases, the re-registration must be carried out by a parent or legal guardian on the child’s behalf. Upon reaching the age of twelve (12) and possessing valid identification, the individual shall independently update and re-register the SIM card in their name.
6.1.12. The Subscriber shall not transfer, sell, lend, rent, lease, or otherwise assign their EASI SIM card to any third party without the Service Provider’s written consent. Such actions are prohibited to prevent misuse, fraud, unlawful, unauthorised access or use. Any exception to this restriction shall require the Subscriber’s prior written consent and formal notification to the Service Provider.
6.1.13. In the event of a change in ownership of an EASI SIM card:

6.1.13.1. The existing (current) and new owner must be physically present at DST’s authorised branch to complete the de-registration and registration to the new owner;
6.1.13.2. Where applicable, at the time of registration, re-registration, KYC or eKYC verification, the individual submitting their personal information and valid identification documents to DST shall, upon successful verification and subject to applicable laws, be recognised as the registered user of the EASI SIM card.

The Service Provider shall ensure that all personal data collected and used for this purpose complies with the respective Personal Data Protection Order, including obtaining the individual’s informed consent and providing clear notice of the intended use of such data. Any dispute over registration or ownership may be reviewed and rectified upon receipt of valid supporting documentation.

6.1.14. If the Subscriber suspects that their personal details have been fraudulently used to register a EASI SIM card without their knowledge or consent, the Subscriber must promptly file a police report and notify the Service Provider and to take necessary remedial action.

6.1.15. If the Subscriber suspects that their EASI SIM Card has been used without their knowledge whether fraudulently or not, they must promptly file a police report and notify the Service Provider and to take necessary remedial action (if any).

6.1.16. The Service Provider reserves the right to suspend or reasonably terminate the Subscriber’s EASI SIM Card or the Agreement immediately, without prior notice, in the event of any breach by the Subscriber of these Terms and Conditions or of any obligations or duties under the General Terms. Such termination shall be without prejudice to any other rights or remedies available to the Service Provider under law or equity.

6.2. The Service Provider agrees that:

6.2.1. They shall only charge the Subscriber for successful calls made and received whether domestic or international at the rates outlined in Clause 4.1;
6.2.2. They shall not charge the Subscriber for use of any of its support line, customer care or operator services including but not limited to *100# *101# and *102# unless otherwise stated;
6.2.3. They shall provide the Subscriber an EASI SIM Card valid for so long as the Subscriber has prepaid for, according to the applicable rates and charges for Services rendered, including but not limited to local and international SMS, call time, minutes and data;
6.2.4. They will provide the Subscriber with international roaming capabilities (for applicable services) pre-activated on their prepaid SIM to be charged according to the rates of the used roaming Service.

7.1. Irrespective of the number of recharges made, not inclusive of any promotion that awards extended credit accumulation period that the Subscribers are engaged in, the credit accumulation shall not exceed a maximum of three hundred (300) days at any one time where applicable.

7.2. Bonus credit may be used for all local outgoing calls, SMS and data only. Bonus credit is strictly non-refundable and is not exchangeable for cash. Any unused bonus credit will be automatically forfeited upon expiry of the applicable credit validity period, and no refunds or compensation will be provided for forfeited bonus credit.

7.3. International Calls and SMS made by the Subscriber shall be charged at the rates according to the respective IDD and 095 rates stipulated on the Platform.

7.4. DST does not guarantee the availability, speed and coverage of while roaming.
